T-Mobile certifies 5G module for the USA
The 5G module FG360-NA from Fibocom
T-Mobile has certified Fibocom's 5G module FG360-NA for the provision of wireless connectivity services such as FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) in the US. This means that nothing stands in the way of the digital transformation of industry in the US IoT market in terms of 5G.
The module is based on MediaTek's customised 5G SoC chipset T750 FWA CPE and supports the sub-6GHz band 5G NR with up to 4.67 Gbit/s downlink and 1.25 Gbit/s uplink, theoretically enabling 5G speeds.
The T750 integrated module has high integration and performance covering the global main frequency band and ENDC with NA and EAU SKUs. The module supports 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) architectures and is also backward compatible with LTE and WCDMA network standards, reducing investment complexity in the initial phase of 5G deployment.
The module features an integrated quad-core 2GHz Arm Cortex-A55 CPU and supports 5G sub-6GHz 2CC CA (Carrier Aggregation) up to 200MHz to improve spectrum resource utilisation and provide extended 5G coverage. This allows endpoints to enjoy the benefits of 5G high-speed and Wifi 6 connectivity, such as Wifi 6 AX1800, AX3600 (mainstream), AX4200 and AX6000 configurations. The module also supports GNSS, including GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS.
Interfaces include 2.5Gbps SGMII, USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0, PCIe 3.0, GPIO, I2S and UIM. Currently, the module series is certified worldwide by FCC, CE and PTCRB, and commercial samples are ready for mass production.

The FG150-AE supports 5G NR Sub6 band and is compatible with LTE and WCDMA standards. This avoids investment concerns, especially in the early days of the 5G roll-out phase, and meets commercial demand for rapid market introduction.
