m2m Germany and alps.sens make the Alps smart

Alps.sens and m2m

The fact that we are an IoT solution provider in Germany is nothing new. We are familiar with the various challenges that our customers face when implementing their IoT projects and can act accordingly. We will now be able to put this knowledge to even better use in IoT projects in Austria and Switzerland, as we have acquired a stake in the newly founded company alsp.sens Gmbh.

The young company alps.sens is managed by an experienced player in the ropeway industry: Kamran Kiafar. He was responsible for the mountain and urban cable car segment at Kapsch BusinessCom for over ten years. The implementation of intelligent gondola systems and the development of wireless infrastructures in the Alpine region are being implemented under his leadership.

The IGS (Intelligent Gondola System) from K-BusinessCom is currently used in most mountain railroads and cable cars. K-BusinessCom was previously responsible for development, production and sales. Following the merger with the CANCOM Group, it was decided to separate the IGS from the short IT lifecycle. This is necessary because it is part of the operational infrastructure of a cable car. To ensure that all existing systems can be supplied seamlessly and that the IGS can continue to be used successfully in ropeways, Kamran Kiafar founded the company alps.sens. alps.sens has acquired the IGS production rights for all existing installations.

In addition, alps.sens will offer individual IoT solutions in the DACH region, which is where we come in.

Together we are working on a smart Alpine region

Together with alps.sens GmbH - a specialist in technology challenges in the Alpine region - we are implementing pioneering IoT projects.

Whether it's the development of networked cable car systems, remote monitoring of alpine equipment, digital avalanche warning, flood early warning systems, innovative product developments or smart cities and municipalities in mountain regions.

Our projects range from intelligent transportation/cable car systems to energy-efficient street lighting and networked tourism services. Together, we offer holistic solutions that focus on scalability, efficiency and safety.

The focus is on wireless technologies such as LoRaWAN, LTE, Bluetooth, NB-IoT and 5G.

alps.sens knows the particular problems and opportunities that these regions face when it comes to digitalization. We at m2m Germany offer tailor-made solutions that not only improve mobility and infrastructure, but also take into account the environmental impact and increase the quality of life of residents and visitors.

alps.sens and m2m Germany are shaping a future-proof, sustainable and smart Alpine region together with the Alpine communities.

We are already looking forward to exciting projects and our first company outing to Innsbruck 😊
