REMOTE ACCESS SOLUTION FOR MOBILE MACHINES

Sending service personnel to a machine to fix technical problems is time-consuming, expensive, and nearly impossible in times of severe travel restrictions. To avoid travel costs and long machine downtimes, it is often necessary to gain access to the machine control system. This may not require an extensive infrastructure and virtually demands the use of compact solutions that allow remote access.

SECURE REMOTE ACCESS TO VEHICLES AND MACHINES

The compact controllers of the digsy®fusionE series were developed for applications that require a compact design in combination with a high I/O density. An adapted middleware makes the compact controller fit for mobile use.

The mobile controllers of the digsy® fusion E series from Inter Control are equipped with an Ethernet interface with UDP and TCP/IP and, in combination with the preconfigured owa4X Linux Embedded Platform from Owasys/M2M Germany, enable easy remote access to the machine controller. This is made possible by a newly developed software extension for the already existing owa4X unit. With manageable engineering effort, a secure communication backbone can be established. Parameter changes and software updates are realized via VPN and Ethernet.

Due to the software extension, the owa4X is the suitable middleware for Inter Control's mobile control.
