Technical article: From PoC to IoT level sensor

From the idea to the sensor

Sensors are irreplaceable. Without them, factory and process automation would be unthinkable. Especially in the age of Industry 4.0 and IoT, the requirements for sensors have increased enormously. Through wireless integration in already proven sensors, completely new scenarios can be mapped and Sensor2Cloud solutions can be realised. The first step on the way to a "smart" sensor is usually a PoC, a proof of concept, which generally deals with the feasibility of such a project. For us, such a feasibility study always starts with a fundamental analysis of the project.

A catalogue of requirements or specifications forms the basis for further action. If such documents are not available, they are usually developed in a workshop. Only then can the project be calculated and the creation of a project timeline begin.

In our technical article, we use a project that has already been implemented to show how we usually proceed with a proof of concept (PoC).
