Assume responsibility

As probably the first and only family-owned IoT company, we have been involved in digitalization and IoT solutions for two generations. As a traditional medium-sized company, we are aware of our responsibility towards our employees, society and, of course, the environment and strive to intensify our efforts in these areas. For example, we have been regularly training apprentices since 2010 and have already given countless young people a start to their careers. In terms of sustainability, we are pleased to have been able to cover our electricity requirements entirely from our own photovoltaic system since 2022, at least in the sunnier months.

Marius Nickolai describes himself as a "businessman who is enthusiastic about technology and combines practical, technical and economic thinking".

The start was his training as an information electronics technician. After a short stint in the job and seven months mowing lawns on playgrounds as part of his community service at the local building yard, he joined m2m Germany's Technical Sales department.
There he completed his dual degree in business administration with a focus on SME management at the THM Gießen-Friedberg and for one semester at Obuda University in Budapest. After graduating, he continued to work in technical sales and project management until he took over as Managing Director in 2016. He is now responsible for sales, marketing, HR and controlling - but also continues to look after customers and projects. When he's not working, he explores the world, tries his hand at various sports and cheers on Eintracht Frankfurt.

Technician through and through - that is Ralf Schoula.

His career began in 1988 with a traditional apprenticeship as a radio and television technician, initially working as a technical employee in Frankfurt. This was not technical enough for him, so he attended a two-year technical school in Weilburg to become a state-certified technician in electrical engineering with a focus on information electronics. After graduating in 1996, he worked for 10 years as a technical manager for a French company. He then became self-employed in the telecommunications sector and joined m2m Germany in 2009 in Business Development, Embedded Modules division. He has been Managing Director since 2016 and is responsible for customer-specific development projects and research projects with universities. He is also responsible for sales and as a key account manager for the embedded sector. In addition to his job, Ralf Schoula enjoys shooting sports, was runner-up in the Hessian air rifle championship in 2018 and is an avid cyclist and motorcyclist.

From value-added distributor to full-service provider

Initially founded as a value-added distributor in 2007, it became clear over time that many of our customers were struggling with the topic of digitalization and the use of the associated technologies. This is quite understandable when you consider that m2m Germany's customers do not necessarily have expertise in RF technology or electronics development in general, but often in mechanical engineering, automotive or sensor technology. For companies that do take on a digitalization project on their own, this usually means that appropriate specialist staff must be hired or existing staff must be trained. This in turn can lead to projects being protracted and to a delayed market launch - with the result that project costs explode.

With the expertise we have gathered over the years, we can provide a remedy when it comes to cost explosions in projects. Our diverse services have developed over the years from our experience in numerous projects with customers from a wide range of industries. For example, we offer design reviews to check your own PCB layout for functional suitability with little effort. We also offer, for example, the planning of LoRaWAN networks or train your personnel in the operation of such a LoRaWAN network. This makes us an unusual team for a distributor, half of which consists of experts in the field of IoT networks and embedded IoT solutions.

This has also changed our self-image to the effect that we do not "only" want to offer our customers products from our portfolio, but also develop the best possible solution as part of our services. In doing so, we also use components from other manufacturers outside our portfolio. Only if we ourselves are convinced of this can we offer a credible solution.

This enables us to provide our customers with comprehensive support, regardless of whether the customer implements their project themselves and we are available to answer individual questions, or whether we take on the entire project from the outset.
In this way, we have already saved many companies time, nerves and expensive failures.
