Wattsense is our new partner for building management via LoRaWAN

New partner Wattsense

Due to the significant increase of IoT sensor networks, among others by LoRaWAN® and the exponential growth of machine-to-machine communication (M2M) as well as smart networking, m2m Germany as a full service provider gains more and more importance for digitalization projects and offers innovative concepts for implementation together with its partners.

In this context, m2m Germany welcomes the new partnership with Wattsense. The French technology company has been successfully building connectivity solutions & IT infrastructures for building management since 2017. New in m2m Germany's portfolio is the plug-and-play capable IoT Building Management Systems (BMS), which can also be integrated into existing building management systems. The Wattsense Edge devices combine PLC functionality with a gateway and connect both wired and wireless end devices used in building automation for monitoring and control tasks.

Overcoming challenges

The technical management of small and medium-sized buildings poses various challenges for many project and technical facility managers as well as building technicians. Often, the existing building technology is a combination of different systems that cannot be uniformly maintained, controlled, read out or expanded. Wattsense offers a resilient IoT solution that is not only easy to use, but also highly interoperable.

Today's requirements for comfort, CO2 reduction and sustainability in buildings are high and often no corresponding building management system is available. Wattsense helps here with low investment costs to implement the entry into the Internet of Things quickly and without great effort.

Wattsense devices support multiple protocols for field communication and can be easily integrated before connecting to the cloud and operating in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. The benefits of this cloud-based IoT management system for buildings are now becoming accessible to a wider range of property types, including schools, offices, municipal buildings, warehouses, as well as in retail.

"The cloud-based business model, along with multi-protocol technology, is a perfect fit for our product portfolio and offers our customers significant simplification in setting up, deploying and scaling infrastructure, as well as some cost benefits by eliminating high integration costs and consulting-intensive stand-alone solutions"

Marius Nickolai Managing Director of m2m Germany

Highest flexibility

Through the user interface, own applications or external service providers can be used via API, which provides additional flexibility.
Customers can connect a wide range of devices and make them IoT-enabled.

In doing so, the BMS gateway can be easily integrated into an existing BMS, allowing you to add LoRaWAN sensors from manufacturers such as Milesight, elvaco and other smart devices to your solutions. If no BMS is available, a BMS network is created directly from the box.

"The technical expertise of both our companies and the strong internationalization offers best possible synergies and last but not least strengthens our offer on a European level."

Romain Philipon, Account Executive at Wattsense

Achieving more together

Wattsense 's hardware and software solutions are available on the European market through m2m Germany.
