Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming our partner, dnt Innovation, to our office.
Our regular partner meetings are an important opportunity to strengthen our relationship, learn about new products, discuss trends, and develop ideas for the building industry.
The current global situation in particular shows just how important it is to use our energy resources sparingly and to conserve energy.
LoRaWAN has established itself as the leading LPWAN standard in the smart building and building management sectors and is expected to continue to experience strong growth in the coming years.
dnt Innovation 's products are designed for the monitoring, control, and optimization of properties, ranging from large-scale residential and office buildings to hotels, care facilities, and hospitals, as well as industrial and municipal properties.
LoRaWAN enables cost-effective, widespread data collection and control. dnt devices increasingly support Over-The-Air (FUOTA) firmware updates, thereby reducing maintenance costs and ensuring lifecycle management and future-proofing of the products.
Using electronic radiator and wall thermostats, as well as door and window contacts, in conjunction with heating management software, it is currently possible to save approximately 30% of heating energy in buildings.
New to the dnt portfolio: LoRaWAN switching and measurement actuator dnt-LW-BSM
As the ideal solution for the intelligent control of lighting and electrical loads in public and large-scale buildings, it is particularly well-suited for retrofitting, as it can be integrated into various switch series and enables both remote control via LoRaWAN downlink and manual operation at the touch of a button. The existing electromechanical switch is simply replaced by the dnt-LW-BSM, and thanks to the adapter system, the existing switch cover can be reused. The integrated energy measurement allows current energy consumption to be measured and evaluated. This also enables predictive maintenance, for example, as the aging of the light sources and, at the latest, their failure can be detected. This saves time and costs during maintenance. Compared to other retrofittable switches, the dnt-LW-BSM can be used not only for classic on/off switching but also in two-way and cross-wiring configurations.
