Innovation cluster for sensor networks
Bundling competencies - exchanging knowledge - developing solutions!
In Hessen there are around 45 successful cluster and network initiatives with almost 3,800 members from all key areas of the Hessian innovation strategy. The range of topics is broad and there are cluster centers for each individual area. The focus is on the exchange of knowledge and the pooling of expertise between the participating companies. We are now also part of this comprehensive initiative and are involved in the "Wireless Sensor Networks - IoT" cluster.
In each case, the networks see themselves as an exchange platform for individual sectors or across sectors for concrete development ideas.
The aim of the "Wireless Sensor Networks - IoT" cluster is to support companies in setting up or exchanging the knowledge required to supply energy and integrate sensors via innovative wireless and other transmission solutions into the Internet.
Proactive approach
The TransMIT GmbH coordinates the activities of the cluster and promotes the exchange of knowledge. For this purpose TransMIT brings together experts in working groups and professional events on current trend topics and disruptive technologies and offers the possibility to build up personal networks of relationships. The cross-company and cross-departmental communication and the professional exchange of information gives all participants the opportunity to gain more transparency about developments in the industry.
In Central Hesse alone, there are around 100 electronics companies involved in the field of sensors and sensor networks. When it comes to wireless sensor networks in the IoT, m2m Germany is already well positioned. In particular, when it comes to the use of LPWAN technologies such as LoRa® and NB-IoT, we have a broad range of expert knowledge and, in addition to our own product developments and numerous smart sensors, we can also demonstrate our participation in research projects.
