Alcatel IK41

New firmware for Alcatel IK41 series

Alcatel has released a new firmware package for all IK41 series dongles, version 15. This new firmware, which applies to all regional models, contains bug fixes and improvements, but also changes in certain AT commands.

Customers who would like to test and validate this new firmware can obtain the new firmware on request via our support. Currently, it is expected that all new shipments will be delivered with the new firmware after the end of stock, probably at the end of summer.

As always, our support technicians are available to answer any questions you may have about the firmware update.

Customers of m2m Germany can easily request the new firmware by e-mail:

The Alcatel IK41 LTE USB dongles are IOT-specialized products that provide a secure and reliable LTE Cat 4 high-speed Internet connection as a plug & play solution. The dongles can be connected to various operating systems (Windows & Linux) via a USB Type A connector. Internal antennas are available and optionally antennas with MIMO can be used via two external TS-9 connectors. The IK41VE and IK41UC dongle variants can be controlled via AT commands, giving the host system full control over the LTE connection.
The dingles are used in mobile vending terminals, in vending machines, in consumption meters, in ticket vending machines, in smart cars or in medical equipment and provide e.g. the start of a remote update of certain devices or transmit transactions from vending machines in real time.
