Like the other owa models, the owa347A combines key features such as openness, programmability, and industrial reliability —but in a smaller and lighter housing. This makes the gateway particularly suitable for installations with limited space, as well as for light vehicles and machinery.

The new gateway enables system integrators and OEMs to implement modern telematics and edge computing solutions, even in compact applications and space-constrained installations.

Within the Owasys portfolio, the owa347A is positioned as a compact and cost-effective addition to the more powerful owa5x platforms. It combines their industrial ruggedness with a reduced feature set and a more compact design, thereby offering an optimized price-performance ratio for numerous telematics and IoT applications.

Typical applications include construction machinery, boats, snowmobiles, portable compressors, and other mobile equipment operated in demanding environmental conditions.

The owa347A was specifically designed for harsh operating conditions and is engineered for applications where devices are exposed to vibrations, extreme temperature fluctuations, humidity, and other harsh outdoor conditions—both on land and at sea.

The gateway offers several communication and interface options for connectivity and integration in vehicles and machines:
