m2m Germany's review of the year 2022
Year in review 2022 - an eventful year
What a wild ride this year has been again. We started optimistically, Corona seemed to be over, the supply chains were supposed to relax again, everything would be fine - and then Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Corona suddenly seems like just a small foretaste of what's to come, war in Europe, energy crisis and, and, and. In the face of these events and the suffering associated with them, you don't even want to talk about economic issues, but you have to anyway.
And it can be said that Europe's economy has so far coped much better with the current situation than feared. The supply chains, at least in the area of electronic components, are still stressed, some delivery times are extremely long, but recovery is foreseeable in some areas. And loosely based on the motto "every crisis is also an opportunity," both Corona and the energy crisis may be seen as catalysts for innovative solutions, be it digitization in virtually all areas of life or solutions for more efficient use of energy. Excuses no longer count; the tasks must be tackled.
It was a wild year for us at m2m as well, which certainly didn't go as planned, but still leaves us reconciled and optimistic. Finally trade fairs in presence again, no less than six of them as exhibitors this year, even some more personally as visitors. We met our dear partners, customers and suppliers in person again or finally for the first time. Even a coffee or beer together in the evening instead of just the face in the monitor.
Our goals for 2023
Although we continue to see ourselves primarily as a technology supplier and enabler for our customers, in the future we would like to think more strongly in terms of solutions that we can provide to our customers to meet the challenges of this time. Of course, we remain true to our motto: "we make your business wireless", whether it is intelligent building automation (heating control, CO2 traffic lights, etc.) via LoRaWAN or remote management of industrial plants via 5G.
With this in mind, we are looking optimistically towards 2023 and wish all our customers, partners and suppliers a merry Christmas and a good, successful and, above all, healthy start to the year 2023. We hope that we will again meet in person in large numbers at various events in the coming year.
